Landscape transformation on two times

Abstract
In this paper its present the São Luis´s islandness, a cultural landscape transformation since natural landscape on Ponta D’Areia in São Luis of Maranhão, originated of urbanization of the 70’expansion. It does have adopted the landscape morphologic analysis method realized in one outline on Ponta D’Areia considering: the importance of quarter in relation to the São Luis City (a city in island) and its formation the ecosystems marine coast forms and the planning and spontaneous occupation on these ecosystems. We have identified three different directions on urban occupation. The first one on to beach-mange direction with a rustic occupation on the coast and then a planning occupation with vertical building with five floors on pilots, until 1988, which expanded itself to Jansen igarapé on perspective to fill in this area. The second one also on mange-beach direction and verticals occupation (fifty floors) after 1995, with its principal façade positioned to the sea view. Moreover, the third one on the beach-mange direction looking now for the Jansen Lagoon landscape, the igarapé as transformed in lagoon by urbanization since 1973, and then transformed in Jansen Lagoon Ecological Park (created in 1988 and building in 2001). We have observed whit this work that the planned and spontaneous occupation are distinct on the constructive typology, they have similarities on the building form over the ecosystems, which are set in the direction of the attractive landscapes of natural pretence.
